Qualification/ Experience


Senior Ship Draftsman (Mechanical):- Pass in SSLC and Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education securing a minimum of 60% of marks


Minimum two years post qualification experience/training as Ship Draftsman in a


Shipyard or


Engineering Company or


Government / Semi Government Company / Establishment.


Senior Ship Draftsman (Electrical):- Pass in SSLC and Three-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education securing a minimum of 60% of marks.


Minimum two years post qualification experience/training as Ship Draftsman in a


Shipyard or


Engineering Company or


Government / Semi Government Company / Establishment.


Senior Ship Draftsman (Electronics):- Pass in SSLC and Three-year Diploma in Electronics / Electronics & Communication /Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education securing a minimum of 60% of marks.


Minimum two years post qualification experience/training as Ship Draftsman in a Shipyard or


Engineering Company or


Government / Semi Government Company / Establishment.


Junior Technical Assistant (Safety):- 1. Three-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) issued by a State Board of Technical Education with 60% of marks.


  1. One year Diploma in Industrial Safety approved by State / Central Government.

Minimum of four years experience in Safety in a Public Sector Undertaking or a Factory after the three-year Diploma in Engineering.


Age Criteria


  1. The upper age limit prescribed for the posts shall not exceed 35 years as of 06 January 2021. The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates and 5 years for SC candidates in posts reserved for them. The upper age limit shall be relaxable by 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).

  2. Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen as per Government of India guidelines, calculated by deducting the period of military service from the actual age and adding three years thereto, subject to a maximum age of 45 years.

Method of Selection


For the posts at Sl. No. 1 to 3 (Senior Ship Draftsman), the method of selection shall include Phase I, consisting of an Objective type online test (70 marks), and Phase II, consisting of a Practical Test. For the post at Sl. No. 4 (Junior Technical Assistant-Safety), the method of selection shall include Phase I consisting of an Objective type online test (70 marks) and Phase II, consisting of a Descriptive type Written Test.
