Unarmed Branch (Lady SI):- 150 Posts



Armed Branch (SI):- 185 Posts


Pay Scale:- Rs. 32100 – 82900/- Per Month


Qualification:- Aspirants should possess Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline


The applicant must be able to speak, read and write the Bengali language.

SI (UB):


Aspirants of all categories: 167 cm (Height), 56 Weight (in kg.), 79 cms Chest (with a minimum expansion 05 cm)


Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes: 160 (Height (in cm.)), 52 Weight (in kg.), 76 cms Chest (with expansion – 5 cms.)


SI (AB):


Aspirants of all categories: 173 (Height (in cm.)), 60 Weight (in kg.), 86 cms Chest (with expansion – 5 cms.)


Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes: 163 (Height (in cm.)), 54 Weight (in kg.), 81 cms Chest (with expansion – 5 cms.)


Lady SI (UB):


Aspirants of all categories: 160 (Height (in cm.)), 48 Weight (in kg.)


Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes: 155 (Height (in cm.)), 45 Weight (in kg.)


Age Criteria:- 18 to 27 Years (Age relaxation is admissible as per rules)

Method of Selection:- The posts of Sub-Inspector/ Lady Sub-Inspector (UB) and Sub-Inspector (AB) in the West Bengal Police shall be filled up on basis of qualifying the Preliminary Examination which will act as screening examination followed by the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Final Combined Competitive Examination and Personality Test to be organized by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board.

For SC/ ST of WB:- Rs. 20/- (Processing Fee only)

How to Apply


Interested and eligible who wish to apply for Sub Inspector/Lady Sub Inspector posts in WB Police, they are required to apply through online mode by filling online application on WB Police official website at wbpolice.gov.in from 22nd January 2021 and before 20th February 2021.
